When you tell josh that he's sleeping in the single bed he doesn't say anything, just shrugs and crawls in to the sleeping bag. Sam giggles as you carry her to the back of the bus and put her in the big double bed.

You get undressed, keeping your boxes on, and then climb in beside the little girl. As soon as you're in, she snuggles right up against you and you realise that somewhere along the way she managed to lose her shirt. You both roll so that your spooning behind her and you put your arm around her skinny frame. You are both tired and soon fall asleep.
