Stuck in Traffic/Dilemma/The Weekend/Neighbours
I woke up to the sound of voices outside. Children's voices. I used the bathroom and made myself presentable before going out. I had met the family in the van opposite before - Mum, Dad and three kids, two girls aged four six and ten year old boy. Ellie was back in her new dress chatting to the girls. The boy was helping his dad set up a barbecue.
We exchanged greetings and got invited to the meal. "Ellie's a pretty girl," Bob, the dad said.
"My niece," I explained. "She goes home tomorrow. The two girls were wearing shorts and T-shirts and all three were trying to do cartwheels. As Ellie flipped over, it was obvious that she wasn't wearing panties. Bob said nothing, but he watched closely as she repeated the maneuver.
Mary, the mum, came out with mugs of tea.
