The Doc lives in a flat above the surgery and you have to go round the back and up a flight of steps to knock on her door. She is wearing a dressing gown and you wonder if she forgot you were coming, she just leads you through to a room at the back. There's a big TV screen on one wall, and a leather couch facing it. There's some bookshelves with books and tapes and a low table in the middle of the floor. There is a window, but the curtains are drawn and it's quite warm.
"The trouble with sex education in schools is that there is no practical," she says with a smile. "I think it's my duty, for the benefit of future wives and girlfriends, to educate boys. Your mother and I have been friends a long time and she knows all about my, err, interests. She knows that you are starting to take an interest in girls and she asked me to to make sure you know what you are doing."
You're sitting nervously at one end of the couch and when she sits down beside you, you notice that you can see an awful lot of leg through the gap in the front of her dressing gown. "Have you been practising what I showed you in the surgery the other day," she asks. You nod. "I'm going to show you a little film and then I want you to demonstrate," she says, reaching out and picking up a remote control.
