I feel like Emilia agreed too quickly. Like, she asks her mom, "But why would you want that?! Why would you want me to lose my friends?" but what about what Emilia wants? Would SHE seriously be okay with losing her friends? Even if she wants to be a slave, I find it difficult to imagine she would be willing to even risk her friendships for that. I think she should hesitate more, even if she doesn't end up admitting it to her mom. Not sure what you have planned for the next page, but that hesitation could even come into play, and an option where Emilia's friend(s) figure out what's going on would be interesting. Who knows, they could have even been spying, and know what's going on. Emilia's been grounded for a week with zero or minimal contact to them, so who knows? Anyway, just my two cents. I'm probably the only person on this whole site who thinks Emilia should push back and feel more reluctant, so feel free to ignore my whole post if it doesn't fit your plans.

Oh, and a kayfabe response from me to Laura saying: "They've been playing this game for some time. All of their bravado and sass and confidence comes from those marks. But take that away and what are they? No different than any other young girl, I'm sure."
