The Last Horcrux/Emily Awakens
You awaken. You are lying on your bed, a large four poster, with pale silk curtains and sheets. Your room has high white ceilings, and wallpaper with vivid designs of emerald roses and black thorns. A fire burns in the fire place, casting flickering shadows across the room, and a dolls house sits there, lonely and unused. There is a vague scent of lavender in the air, and the only sound is an occasional crackle from the fire and the sound of your own breath.
There is something in your hand, and something moving around your neck. You can feel the warmth of the bed and a soft silk night dress against your skin. A snake slithers slightly around your throat, as if stirring in its sleep. It is only your familiar, Hastur, and his smooth black scales are reassuring as they move across your flesh. In your hand is something metallic, but you can’t see it properly in the dim fire light.
