Mutual protection, part 6

Chapter 20: Morning

Iole was already awake when Melvin woke up. She smiled, then sucked his dick until it was nice and hard. But she didn't make him cum. She got on all fours and begged for a good and hard fuck, that Melvin was more than happy to give.
They went to the lake to clean up. Iole used her hand to, as she said it, make sure Melvin's dick would be perfectly clean. And from that, Melvin got hard again, to his surprise. Iole just giggled, as she laid down on the grass, legs spread, ready to be fucked again.

“It's weird, I normally never can get it up so fast again. I don't recall ever cumming so often in just two days.”
Iole smiled mischievously, then made the familiar symbol of first tapping her head, then pressing a hand against her heart.
“Perhaps I help you recover?”
Melvin brushed her hand away from her heart and put his own there instead.
“Yes, this definitely has to do with it,” he laughed, as his fingers softly massaged Iole's left nipple, “but I think the other factor is a bit lower.”
And with those words he got on his knees, kissed the girl between her legs, and then did not remove his mouth from there until she had had three orgasms. He would have continued, but she pushed away his head and demanded him to properly fuck her and give her another load of his cum, a request that Melvin could not deny her.

Chapter 21: Plans

“So, now what?”
Iole swallowed the last bite of her breakfast, then turned her head to face Melvin. Her hair ticking his crotch as she made that movement was nice, but not enough to bring new life to his manhood. Not yet. Even with his increased libido, he still had his limits.

“What do you mean, now what?”
“I mean, what do we do next. I am healed, so we don't need to stay here. We can travel.”
“Yes, we can. But why would we? The cave protects us from rain. There's enough fruit. When we run out of meat, we can hunt again. I still have lots of bullets, and I can teach you to shoot arrows. We are safe here.”
Melvin sat in silence, pondering her words.
“Yes …,” he started slowly, dragging out the words as he gathered his thoughts, “…, yes, we are safe. But do you really propose that we just do nothing? All day long, each and every day?”
“Nothing. Or something.”
And with a lewd smile, she grabbed Melvin's hand, that was absent-mindedly stroking her soft belly, and guided it towards the little honeypot between her legs.

Twenty minutes later, they sat back down again, Iole still sweaty but happy and Melvin savoring the sweet taste that was still on his tongue.
“I love having sex with you, Iole. And it sounds great to just be here with you, have sex, relax, and collect fruits or hunt when needed. But I feel we need to do something more.”
“Why?”
“I don't know. Fate has brought us together, and …”
“Not fate! Coincidence.”
“Whatever you want to call it. We're together now. You have a gift that could benefit all people, oldfolk and newfolk alike. I could bring you back to Base, Inside. Your gift would keep everyone safe. Then we would need less tech and less energy to keep Base safe. We could use that to help your people to a better life. We would all win!”

Iole sat in silence for a while, then shook her head, a weary smile on her face.
“My people don't want me. They expelled me.”
“Yeah, but … that was because they didn't have protection from wild animals with you there. With tech, they would …”
“And your people don't want me either. Have you already forgotten what you first thought when you saw me, a mutant? Have you forgotten that your first action was to reach for your gun?”
“Yeah, but … I am with you! My people know me and trust me. I will tell them that you kept me safe!”

Iole sighed. She realized that she could never convince Melvin otherwise. To him, their chance encounter was fate. He was convinced they were destined to save humanity, and lead both oldfolk and newfolk into a new future. She gave in.

Chapter 22: Travel

Two days later, they left the cave. Iole's rucksack was filled to the brim with food. Melvin carried an improvised rucksack. They didn't know how many days they would be walking, and they wanted to be sure they had enough supplies.
They didn't force their progress. When they saw a good hiding place for the night, they made camp, even if it still was early afternoon. One day they had to keep walking until evening, and then finally climb in a tree to be safe at night. All other days they found a good cave or other hiding spot.

Iole's libido was limitless, and Melvin amazed himself with his own stamina. Not a single day went by that he didn't fill the girl's tight cunny with at least two sticky loads, feeding one more into her eager mouth. She would cum two or three times on his dick every time they fucked, and Melvin's fingers and tongue never tired of giving her at least a dozen more orgasms.
Life was good. Apart from the few remarks, every day or two, when Iole complained that they could have stayed at their cave, for even more sex, instead of hours of walking through the desolate country. But she never asked to return. She knew the answer already.

Finally, after ten days of traveling, usually in the correct direction, Melvin recognized landmarks he knew to be close to Inside.
“Almost there!” he whispered, as he pulled Iole close on a patch of soft grass and caressed the slit between her legs, “Perhaps half an hour. I want to fuck you one last time before we are there!”
“Last time?”
Iole frowned, even as her hands grabbed Melvin's erect dick and guided it home to her well lubricated pussy.
“I mean, one last time here, Outside. When we are Inside, you can live in my house, and we can even fuck in a real bed!”
“Oh. Good. A bed sounds good.”
Iole stopped talking as her breathing got faster and heavier while Melvin thrust his rod hard in and out of her young body.

Chapter 23: Home

“Madam Commander?”
“Yes, John?”
“We pick up movement Outside. It seems to be approaching our walls.”
“Mutants?”
“Not sure. They do appear to have human form, but there are just two. One man-sized and one that would be a child, if they are mutants.”
“Strange. They normally always attack with hundreds at a time. Keep watching until they come closer.”

“Madam Commander?”
“Yes, John?”
“You might want to take a look yourself. I'm not sure if I can trust my eyes.”
Emilia Dawkins moved to the watch station to look at the screen.
“What? Is that …”
“Looks exactly like him, right!”
“Yes, you are right. It looks exactly like Melvin. And an unknown mutant girl.”

Commander Dawkins took a few seconds to think. Then she knew what to do.
“Melvin went Outside more than two weeks ago. His crawler had energy and air for five days. His suit could have bought him two more. Plus, what you see there does not even wear a suit.”
“Do you mean …?”
“Yes, John. That's exactly what I mean. That there is not Melvin. Melvin is dead. We know that. Only mutants can survive Outside. That must be a mutant.”
She snickered.
“Also, you know Melvin. He would never take a mutant here. At least not a live one!”

John sat still, gazing at the screen, in shocked silence.
“We know that mutants are developing new powers. This must be one. It must be a shape-shifter.”
“So, what do we do, madam Commander?”
“It's clearly an attack. They copied Melvin, thinking we would fall for it. We won't. We do what we always do when mutants attack. We shoot.”

Just as John's hand hovered over the button, he saw on his screen that the shape-shifter mutant raised his hand. Speakers sputtered to life as the Outside microphones picked up a voice. Even the voice was exactly the same as Melvin's had been.
“Hold fire! Don't shoot! I'm Melvin Scott, and I want to …”
John pressed the button.

“Send soldiers Outside. I want the shape-shifter brought in, in an isolated research area. We need to analyze its cell structure, to see what caused this new mutation.”
“And the girl?”
“She's just a regular mutant. Burn her corpse, somewhere far away from Base.”

Epilogue: Fate

“Still no results?” Stevenson asked his head biologist.
“Nothing, sir,” she admitted.
“Keep searching. Just keep searching, damn it! One day we will find the secret.”

The shock had been great when cell analysis and DNA samples proved beyond a doubt that the alleged shape-shifter mutant had, in fact, been Melvin. Commander Dawkins had eventually been cleared of all charges. Traveling in company of a mutant girl had been Melvin's death warrant, the judges all agreed. If he had come alone, then she should have acted with more caution. The girl by his side was enough to clear her of all charges.

“Can I get additional funding, sir?” the head biologist asked.
“Of course! You know you can! The governor was clear. All means available, unlimited funding. We must keep researching Melvin's remains. We must find out what enabled him to survive Outside without protection. That's the key to our survival.”
“Yes, sir!”

“Just two, maybe three more generations,” Stevenson mumbled to himself as the head biologist left the office, “before we run out of energy and perish. And the mutants also seem to be past their peak, their numbers are decreasing too. We must find Melvin's secret, if we want to have a fighting chance to save the human race.”
