Life Hacks/Let go and go down to Roni
You breathe a sigh and nod in thanks to the non-asshole officer, and then slowly let go of the arm you had locked into your chest for the past 5 minutes or so. It takes a little bit of maneuvering, not to mention self restraint, to untie your legs from him without hitting him in the face, and then you smoothly spin around and stand on the next row of benches below where you had asshole pinned.
“Thanks,” you say, not entirely sure if the meekness you are demonstrating is calculated for appearance or due to a genuine result of mental strain. Either way, you know that appearing weak and grateful in this situation is something that these police officers would expect due to years of experience having seen it in the face of the majority of the victims they have helped. Despite how good it felt to physically overpower that guy, winning against him socially will prove a double victory.
You feel yourself walking a little unsteady as you step down the bleachers toward where Patricia and the female officer are talking with all the kids around. She seems to be trying to direct them over to the other set of bleachers over on the other side of the baseball diamond to take them away from where officer asshole is about to be escorted out of the park, but this effort is thwarted as Roni breaks off from the group and runs at you.
“Xander!” She yells, and then practically bowls you over as she jumps into your arms. You can see a lot of conflicting emotions on her face, like she wants to say something, but she just doesn’t know how to express it. The female officer is also walking toward you, and as soon as Roni notices her she turns around and glares as she clutches your shoulders possessively.
“Hey,” the female officer says, “I’m officer Maria Thompsett, how about we go over here so that we can give them room to talk some things out, huh?”
“Uhh.. yeah.” You say. You feel officer Thompsett’s hand on the back of your shoulder as you walk past her, and you notice it stops shaking at her touch. This alerts you to the fact that you were shaking before, and it is also not contained for very long just because she has her hand on you. You are sure she can feel it. Part of your mind inwardly smiles in satisfaction at this, this just goes further toward buying you sympathy points. On the other hand, another part of your mind is seething and frustrated that you are having such an un-cool reaction to this comparatively moderate turn of events.
Your mental dilemma is finally solved when the more rational 3rd part of your mind correctly identifies this as the after-effects of adrenalin. This shaking is not because of fear, it is because your body has a lot of un-used adrenaline pumping through your system. It is not emotion that is making you shake, it is purely 100% physiological and there is nothing you can do about it by trying to tell yourself to calm down. The reason you were not shaking before was because you were physically exerting yourself to hold that misogynist down. Now, your body has no way to direct the excess energy you have as a result of this adrenaline. You want to find an outlet. Crazy enough, what you really want to do right now is climb the protective fence around 1st base. Somehow, that sounds like exactly the most effective method to deal with your current condition. However, you are sure that could lead to some problems. Instead, you resolve to comfort yourself by holding Roni more tightly to your chest as you allow yourself to be guided by officer Thompsett. Your hand has managed to slip up under her skirt in order to get a proper hold on her and is currently holding her by her panti-clad rear end, and you can't help the thought that if you had not told her to put on panties you would be holding her bare ass right now.
“Hey, how you holding up?” the officer asks you.
How do you answer?
- Play for sympathy, give a non-committal answer
- Play it cool, say you just have to calm down from the adrenalin rush
- Answer honestly that you want to climb the fence.
- Stick your hands up Roni's skirt and have it dismissed (10) 1st time with Roni (+15) Family and age multiplier (X2) = 50
- Meet someone new (5)
- (1130 + 50 + 5 = 1185)
