2T4U/Jack/Morning/Fiona's/Suggest that maybe she needs a “big brother”
“So you said her mother, she doesn't have a father around?” You ask.
“Oh no,” Fiona responds, “The way I hear it, she was born out of wed-lock when her mother was your age. I don't think she has really known her father.”
“How about her grandfather?” You ask.
“Hmm...” Fiona responds, “Now that you mention it, no. He left my sister when her mother was nine.” Fiona kind of looks off into the distance for a moment and then you can almost see her face light up as the switch turns in her head. “That's it!” She responds, “Maybe you can be a big brother to her, maybe some older male influence will straighten her out a bit.”
Well, you are not so sure your brand of straightening a girl out is quite appropriate in this situation, but you sure would enjoy it if you had a chance at her.
“Do you think you could do that for me Jackie? I would be ever so grateful.” Wow, played her like a fiddle. But all of a sudden now, even though this is the result you wanted, something about being asked a request by her in that condescending language just makes you want to refuse.
