Dianne is one of two teachers employed by Itou Academy. She is in charge of the school's academic lessons.

Personality

Dianne is a gentle woman who loves to teach. Her light touch has in the past led her to have a difficult time handling problem students, as they tend to just disegard everything she says. For cooperative students, however, she is excellent at her job.

Outside of school she's a bit of a homebody, generally preferring to set up relaxing music or lighting as she reads.

Before deciding to be a teacher, she considered being a pediatric dietician.

History

She didn't maintain much of a social circle through school, and so didn't really date until college. While she had a few boyfriends during college, none of them were serious until Tony. He managed to put on a charming and suave front for almost a year, until he finally managed to convince her to sleep with him. The next day, however, he showed his true colors; he was a self-styled virgin hunter, who, now that he had succeeded at his conquest, was no longer interested and left. Since then she's actively avoided any men who have specifically come on to her.

As mentioned, she's a very good teacher with cooperative students. That being said, she was actually fired from her last job thanks to the efforts of a handful of class delinquents.

Character Conception

If I recall correctly, Dianne is not the first character I made up for this story, but she's pretty darn close. In fact, originally this was actually two different stories; the school story and the family story. As I started working out actual story to go with them instead of just making up characters, however, I realized that there was no reason they had to be separate stories. And I would say that combining them has made both stories stronger, as events from one have triggered important ones in the other.
