“This is amazing!” Megumi exclaimed, staring in wonder at the entertainment center set up in the living room at Yuu's house. “Yeah, my mom's been a gamer since she was a kid, and she's kept every console she's ever gotten. Megumi moved in to examine some of the vintage machinery more closely. “I'm definitely going to have to come back sometime to give some of this a try. At the least I've got to get a picture,” Megumi said, pulling out her phone and snapping some shots.
Yuu picked up the remote and sat down on the couch, before Megumi sat down on the other end. “First thing's first, though. I've got to show you Oreimo. You haven't started it without me, right?” she asked. “Of course not, I know you wanted to be here when I do,” Yuu said, turning on the TV and searching for the show.
As the first episode ran, Megumi kept making surreptitious glances over at Yuu when she thought he wasn't looking. Slowly, she began inching towards him across the couch, trying not to catch his attention. Yuu meanwhile, slowly inched towards Megumi when he thought she wasn't looking.
As the first episode ended, they were only about two feet apart. Yuu skipped ahead to the start of the next episode, and the two of them looked at each other, like they were going to move even closer together.

Megumi got a slightly annoyed look on her face. “Just a show that we're trying to watch. Megumi grimaced briefly, before snatching her favorite of the two. “I guess this is an acceptable offering...” she said, unscrewing the lid and taking a drink. Yuu took the one Minako offered him and put it to the side for the moment, before turning his attention back to the show.
As the second episode progressed, Minako started to squirm ever so slightly in her seat. The movement did not go unnoticed by Megumi, whose mood slowly began to shift from annoyed to curious. By the time the third episode began, Minako was trying to surreptitiously steal glances over at Yuu. Yuu made no reaction, focusing instead on the show. Yuu took a moment to register Minako's expression before turning towards Megumi with a panicked look on his face, making a loud sound of alarm as he turned.
Megumi herself was standing frozen in place, her hands covering her mouth in obvious shock. Nobody in the room moved for several seconds as the show continued on uselessly in the background.
