June's bed was one of the few things that she didn't share with her two brothers. June, Jack, and Jason had the same bedroom, the same birthday, and sometimes even the same clothes, though that was becoming less and less the case as they grew older. They lived with their parents, Nigel and Samantha, in the suburbs of a small town. At twelve, June was becoming more and more aware that boys and girls were different and she couldn't, for example, take baths with her siblings like they could when they were five. (Jack and Jason might disagree, but that was just because boys were less mature, June was sure.)

Nigel and Samantha both worked, leaving the three kids to have fun on their own more often than not, and have fun they did.

How is June's adventure going to begin?

Is it their birthday? A birthday for one child is hard enough, but three at once is going to be triple the fun! (What do you mean, birthday suits aren't traditional? It's in the name.)

Is the babysitter coming over? The babysitter is a trusted friend of the family, but one who might not share the parents' views of acceptable behavior.

Are the kids just out playing? Excitement can be found in the woods and creeks near their house.

Or is this just a normal day in school?
