Deciding she wanted to explore some of the shops downtown and hopefully acquire some ice cream. Sally left the windowsill and started rummaging through her dresser. Jim’s was, of course, crowded, but that made it much more likely he’d let her work for her ice cream and some pocket money, though if she went there right away, she was sure to be stuck until dinner time. The clothes store was somewhat packed due to its end-of-summer sale, but she could see several cute clothes on display. Of course, the oddity store was always a toss-up on what she would find; the last time she was there, she found an amulet that supposedly allowed people to read minds. It didn’t really, but Sally had been tempted for a couple of minutes.
