Introduction
'Amberton' is an interactive story set in a fictional city called 'Amberton', a small city far from anyplace famous. Amberton is a quiet, properous place, the sort of community where raising a family and having a fulfilling career is easily achieved. Amberton is large enough to have a decent amount of social graces, with dining, clubs, and seedier entertainments available, as well as finance, commerce, industry, and arts. Amberton is small enough that it is well off the beaten path, a quiet wholesome place for those who are not interested in fame or glory.
The world of Amberton is similar to our own, with prosaic morals and conservative views of life. A major difference is that in the world of Amberton, the laws of physics are not absolute. Magic, mysticism, and mentalism all exist, and can be verified as real, actual phenomena. Now, that said, magic and mind tricks are so weak and so impossible to control that in practical matters, they are utterly useless. Trying to claim you were 'affected by a spell' is as far-fetched as claiming insanity as a defense...although criminals still try it.
One side effect of the existence (however weak and uncertain it is) of magic, mentalism, and mysticism, is the almost certainty that mythology was actually real history, Hercules, Beowulf and Gilgamesh actually existed, and maybe dinosaurs were really dragons...a long, long time ago. Life in Amberton is just a tiny shade brighter, people are just a tiny bit more vibrant, and heroes just a tiny bit more heroic, than in the Real World.
That said, the daily impact of magic is so tiny it is effectively invisible. There are no reliable magical effects, anything that magic or mind tricks could maybe do, technology can usually do better. In practical matters, magic and mysticism is ignored.
Or, it was until now.
In this bucolic, bustling, peaceful little city, there has been a sudden change, which will generate a lustful inferno of perversion and lewd desires, impacting the lives of everyone, to some degree or another.
