You feel like you can't let your curiosity to take the better of you. He might still be angry, and you can't underestimate how scary he is while he's angry. So, you silently let him take you back to your room. On the way there, you can still see the light inside the office. Something tells you that Theo is still there, waiting for Paco to return. Once inside your room, you lay down. Having taken a little walk, you yawn, feeling like you finally can fall asleep comfortably now. You regret not asking about that thing was, or what was going on for that matter, and you can't really go back to interrupt them again. All you can do now is sleep, but this isn't over yet. Tomorrow you're going to consult Theo and get some answers out of him instead. He's someone you can trust to answer you without lashing out more than Paco.

For the first half of the day, you don't have a chance to meet with Theo. While you play with some dolls and wooden blocks in preschool with other girls and read a little book with one of the older orphans - while being simultaneously taught to read - Theo is in school. Not even during lunch you get to meet him, since you're both too busy with your own respective group of friends. You do realize something in him though. He's clearly feeling down. He isn't as talkative with his friends as you're used to see him being, and his smiles and laughter appear forced to you.

You're playing in sand alone, having dug a mighty hole. It serves no purpose but to fill some time while you're bored, and it served its purpose really well, drawing you in. Every now and then you take a peek towards the gates to see if he's coming back.

Finally, there he is, walking alone, slowly, with his head hung low. You want to inject him with a little joy, so you gleefully skip in front of him, greeting him warmly. "Hi, Theo."

You can see a smile appear on the corner of his lips. It almost looks like he's smirking. "Hi…"

"Is something wrong?"

"I… I need you to forget what you saw yesterday…"

That won't do. The whole reason you want to talk to him is because of what you saw. "Don't you want to talk about it?"

"There is nothing to talk about."

"Please, Paco wouldn't tell me."

He stares at you, silently. For whatever reason, he finally nods, and agrees to talk with you. Together, you walk towards a shed behind the building. It's probably the most private place you can think of at this moment. Nobody should be bothering you there. As the first thing he does, he sighs deeply: "I really don't want to talk about this. It was really uncomfortable."

"Why?"

"Don't you get it? He forced me to do it as a punishment for stealing!" Theo raises his voice, but he's still far away from yelling. He's clearly upset, and this is making you feel uncomfortable as well. You can't tell who he's angry at; himself, Paco, or even you?

"Why would he punish you like that?"

"He… He is like that…" Once again, Theo sighs heavily. "He does that with everyone. He doesn't care if it's a boy or a girl. It's his way of punishing children who have been naughty."

"Why didn't you run away then?"

He is hesitating to tell you straight, but you can tell it's not because he wanted to do it, or that he liked it. "I can't disobey him", he finally tells you. "Nobody can. We can't do anything to stop him." Then, he takes you by your hands, with serious look in his eyes. "You should be careful around him too."

You're a little confused about all of this. You wondered about it earlier as well, but was it supposed to be some kind of punishment? Is it something bad? Something dangerous? Good or bad, you can't help but to get increasingly more curious.

"Did he do anything to you in the bathroom?" he asks. You shake your head, answering honestly. "Did he threaten you, or anything?"

"No", you say, with a reassuring tone. And honestly, you can't really imagine him doing anything bad to you either. Ever since you saw him the first time, he has always struck you as a nice guy. You've heard stories of him being mean, but last evening was the first time ever you personally saw him being capable of being upset. He even took you in without any reservations despite the orphanage being overpopulated already. "He didn't tell me anything either."

Sighing calmly, Theo hangs his head. "That's good. I was getting worried for a moment."

"But I really wanna know what was going on."

"I… I suppose I can tell you. I just don't want to scare you."

You shake your head. "I wasn't really scared… Only a little when he got angry…"

"What do you want to know then?"

You begin with a simple question. "What was that thing?"

He looks surprised. "You really don't know? It's called a penis."

You repeat the word "penis" out loud, and let it really roll of your tongue, but you're not stopping here. You've got more questions. "Why is it different from my thing?"

Now, he looks a little embarrassed instead. "Well, that's because you're a girl… Girls don't have penises…"

So now you finally know that it's a boy versus a girl thing. You kind of suspected that could be the case, because you've seen plenty of girls and women naked. "That means you must also have a penis, then?"

"Well, obviously. I'm a man."

And so, an opportunity presents itself. For some irrational reason, you always thought everyone is the same down there, even though you've only seen girls naked. Never mind that, you want to see it now. "Will you show it to me?"

Flustered, Theo backs down two steps, almost looking like he wants to just run away. "T-there's no way I can do that!"
