Conquered

The city of Rothshire has fallen.

Conquered, after months of siege from the tyrannical warlord Aggoth the Immortal. You watched as his armies broke through the gates and butchered the remnants of the city guard. You saw them slaughter the citizens of the city, enslave the men, rape the women, burn the shrines, and loot the homes. Your father was murdered before your eyes, gutted and trampled on like garbage in the street. Your mother was dragged off, most likely to be raped and killed if she's lucky. You hid in your home until Aggoth's soldiers found you.

They didn't touch you of course. Everyone knows Aggoth gives explicit orders not to harm little girls. Not because he has any moral qualms with it of course, but because of his insatiable lust for young young girls. He bares no shame of the fact, for he offers large sums of money to anyone who brings him a girl of the age 14 or under. One of the soldiers boast of the money they'll make for bringing you in, asks your name and age. You don't know why he cares about your name, but you have heard that the younger the girl the more money Aggoth pays.
