Daycare manager/2nd draft/Hannah Marshal/Play
"Alright Hannah, do you want to go to the play room and play with some toys?" You ask her. "I've got lots of nice toys for us to play with. Come on." She turns to you and takes a step backward. She holds her wrist and shakes her head. You sigh at how she's being difficult. What can you do here? You can't just leave her in the entry way, so you go ahead and grab her wrist and drag her along behind you anyway. "Come on Hannah, you can't be like that." You scold her as you pull her along. "Let's go to the play room." She resists you for a few steps, but after that she stumbles as she tries to keep up with you pulling her arm.
Once you get to the play room, you sit her down next to you and pull out a few things. "See this Hannah? Do you like dolls?" You ask, holding up a small cloth doll to show her. She doesn't look very comfortable though. "Here Hannah, you can have this doll, Ok?" You offer it, holding it out in front of her. Hannah gently picks the doll up out of your hand and then gets up and runs and sits behind a large toy castle as she conceals the doll from sight with her torso and legs for a moment, looking over in your direction.
