Daycare manager/Human hybrid licenses
Humans have the peculiar ability to be able to reproduce and create viable offspring with almost every other humanoid race. As such, there are several half races which are based on humans. Children produced between humans and a conservative race usually tend to align closer to humans in their values and cultural norms, whereas those born between a human and a promiscuous race tend to lean more toward the promiscuous race's culture.
One notable exception is with the anthro-beasts. There are several tribes of anthro-beasts that are already half human, such as the lizard-kin, which are actually a hybrid between humans and lizardfolk. Despite being hybrids, lizard-kin have managed to gain numbers large enough to form their own lizard-kin tribe and by reproducing among themselves they maintain a half-human/half-lizardfolk appearance. The hybridization of the lizard-kin, in this case, seems quite stable to a point where rather than having a lizardfolk gene and a human gene, lizard-kin somehow have two lizard-kin genes.
Because of this mysterious nature of hybridization with the anthro-beasts, it is possible to create further hybridization, creating what are known as "quarter-kin." Quarter-kin are a 1/4 anthro-beast with one antro-kin parent and 1 human parent. These quarter-kin are known to have a nature that is reasonably close to that of humans.
Half-elf Half-elves mature through their childhood at a rate that is roughly half the difference between that of humans and elves, reaching the physical equivalent of a human 10-year-old at the age of 15. Unlike elves however, they continue to age from there at a rate that is 2/3 that of human aging, and reach puberty at around age 18-20. A half-elf is considered an adult at age 24. Culturally, a half-elf is fairly similar to a human.
NOTE: There is no license needed for caring for half-elves, and most parents of half-elves don't even care if you haven't taken a cultural competency license in half-elf culture. However, they might be impressed if you do and it will add to your reputation.
Half-orc
Half-orcs mature at a rate that is roughly 2X the speed of a normal human, reaching puberty at around age 6, and being fully grown at around age 9. In most ways, it would be more productive to think of a half-orc as similar to beast-folk in terms of their culture. They are not quite as brutal as full orcs in their culture or sexual practices, and are capable of showing some restraint. Like the beast-folk, they attempt to at least mimick the safe-sex practices of humans despite not being able to really control their sexual urges to the point of going for abstinence.
NOTE: As half-orcs are very similar to anthro-beasts in their culture and sexual practices, a skilled overseer license is still needed to care for half-orc children.
Anthro-kin
Anthro-kin are the full-fledged race that is created between humans and full antro-beasts. Beast-kin will have much shorter fir and a more errect stance, reducing features like the muzzle and looking perfectly human except for the ears, tail, and the fur covering their skin. A similar transformation with scales would apply to scale-kin, and feather-kin will have a mutation where they will gain arms and wings as 2 separate limbs instead of them being fused into a single limb.
Antro-kin mature at a rate that is X1.5 the speed of a human, reaching puberty at around age 9 and being fully grown by age 13. Culturally, they come off as slightly more civilized versions of their antro-beast fore-bearers, and tend to live separate from humans despite their human ancestry. The numbers of most antro-kin populations have grown to a point where they can form tribes consisting entirely of a single antro-kin race with a size that rivals the size of a full-fledged antro-beast tribe.
For caregivers, although the sexual practices of anthro-kin tend to be loose, those living in human society tend to realize that this behavior is not considered appropriate among conservative cultures and will suppress this activity in front of other children. However, they will tend to feel more comfortable among anthro-beasts than conservative demi-humans, and if you have an anthro-beast license they would feel more relaxed being treated as anthro-beasts. It is best, however, to consult their parents on this matter as some parents may prefer their children more closely emulate humans, especially in the area of sexual practices.
NOTE: Antro-kin are more promiscuous than humans and considered to be closely aligned to Anthro beasts on this matter. However, despite that, it is legal to care for an Anthro-kin with a cultural competency level license only, making them the only cultural competency license that is actually required for care. However, the skilled overseer license for the appropriate type of Anthro-beast can function in lue of a cultural competency license.
Quarter-kin Quarter-kin are the result of humans mating with an anthro-kin. Their features are mostly human, with the exception of some feature of their animalistic lineage. Quarter-beasts will have the ears and tail, quarter lizards will have a tail and some scales around their neck, quarter birds will have dwarfed wings that no longer have the ability to function for flight.
Quarter-kin age inperceptably faster than normal humans, possibly hitting the major bench-marks 1 year earlier than a human would. Culturally, they are closer to humans than their animal leniage. However, the might have a few animalistic quirks left over such as quarter cats liking to chase moving objects or having a taste for meat and fish. Quarter-kin do tend to have a somewhat higher libido than normal humans, but it is mostly controllable. The culture of the quarter-kin is to align themselves with the human values on sex as much as possible and resist their urges.
In the case of care-takers watching over quarter-kin children, you may notice them acting slightly more flirtatiously, and there have been times where they have been known to sneak off behind something to have sex at school at a rate that's higher than what human kids would attempt, but so long as the monitoring is tight and they don't have a place to sneak off to there should not be any problems. It is best to think of them as simply being highly promiscuous humans rather than conservative anthro-beasts, and the way you should treat their sexual indiscretions should align accordingly.
NOTE: Quarter-kin may be cared for without a skilled overseer license, and quarter-kin parents often do not mind leaving their children with someone who does not have a cultural competency license. However, they will be more comfortable if you do have such a license and you will gain reputation for getting one.
