Megan has to participate in some remedial classes after school. She is still behind in her grades, even after having been held back a year.
Biography
Megan's father is unknown, mostly because her mother did not really even understand the concept of sex when she got pregnant with her.
She was conceived when her was in middle school and liked hanging out with the boys during the summer. One summer, they decided to start "playing doctor" and she enjoyed the fact that she could get very popular showing her private parts and letting the boys touch them because she was the only girl. It was only a matter of course one of the boys would eventually suggest putting the private-parts together.
When her grandparents asked about her pregnancy, her mother didn't even known how to answer their questions.
When her mother's reputation in town fell sharply due to the out-of-wedlock pregnancy to an unknown father, her mother started to resent Megan and would neglect or abuse her daughter. Meanwhile, her grandparents simply pushed their daughter to 'take responsibility for her mistake' and would only yell at her when Megan wasn't properly cared for. This only increased her mother's resentment and abusive attitude.
Megan began to hate going home, and would hide somewhere or wander aimlessly around town after school as she tried to put off going back to her house. One day, about a year ago, she just decided to sleep under the school play structure instead of going home, that way she wouldn't have to face her abusive mother again. Her grandparents filed a police report, and she was found and brought into the police station where the Police Chief noticed her and decided to adopt her.
Megan likes her new home a lot more than her old home. She doesn't even consider her older sister Annie to be mean at all, since she is used to much worse and is also used to people telling her what to do. She really likes her new home and has started to smile a lot more, and loves her new mother and sisters. She just wishes her new father, who took her out of that old home environment, would be around more.
