EOTW/School/Continue Under the Beam
Shaking off any doubts you pull yourself forward, careful as to make as little contact with your surroundings as possible. You couldn't be moving any slower; maybe that's the issue! Just as your heads appears in the open, leaving you exposed shoulders up on one side, and waist down on the other, you hear the one sound that is enough to fill you with dread. Instantly you realise you've made a mistake as a creaking noise echoes around you. You barely have a chance to react before the rubble supporting the beam gives way. The weight pushing down on the beam is soon pushing down on you.
Your spine snaps in an instant, your lifeless body being crushed and ground beneath the sheer force of the brick and metal that now lays where you just were.
So that's the end of this adventure. For Alex, it really is the end of the world as he knows it! Poor boy, killed before his time. If you're wandering whether I will allow you to cheat death and rewind time to before you made that unfortunate decision, that would be a no! It's called death for a reason! If you would like to switch perspective to another nearby character, however, I can certainly let you do that.
