Generations/Lie in wait for the bear
In your investigating of the cave, you noticed a ledge near the entrance that should provide an adequate vantage point. You clamber up there and lie down, awaiting the arrival of your quarry.
Half an hour passes before you hear the lumbering and huffing of the bear and tense up ready to pounce. You eye up the beast as it enters the den: it must weigh at least 1000 pounds, and is riddled with scars all across its body. Every breath from the animal is powerful and it’s nose tells it there is an intruder.
Your eyes dart around your surroundings, noting all of your options to take the bear down. There’s a rock that would do significant damage if you slam it down in the bear, and on the other side is an even bigger rock that could hit even harder, but must be thrown if you choose to do so. Alternatively, you could test fate and use your bare hands.
What do you do?
- Leap down and use your hands
- Leap down and smash it with a rock
- Throw a boulder at it
- Try to hide
- Use a small rock to distract it
