Djinn Magic
The djinn are beings composed entirely of living magic. As such they have the purest form of magic. Djinn crossbreeds are only capable of djinn magic if they have a body of magic like their djinni parent, otherwise it is passed on as a talent for sorcery.
- Source: Magic Skill (Innate). The power is a type of magic, but the character cannot simply learn it. The character must be born to it. It must however also be mastered, and has a range of 1-10. Levels 1-9 roughly equated to a level of power equal to the same level spells from the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. Level 10 denotes an extremely rare mastery that is nearly divine. Magic is mystical, and therefore useless in areas with no magic, though the djinn have a way around this limitation.
- Benefits:
- Magical Effects: Djinn Magic is not limited in what kind of magical effects can be produced. A powerful enough djinni can do most anything. Djinn magic is the purest form of magic.
- Djinn Magic requires no materials, words, or gestures. It only requires an act of will.
- Magical Items: Djinn Magic can be use to imbue objects with magical properties, producing magical items.
- In areas with no magic, a djinn can utilize the magic of their own body to continue to create effects with the expense of their own well-being.
- Weaknesses:
- In areas with no magic a djinni's magical body can be used by other spellcasters to empower their spells at the expense of the djinni. This requires the djinni to loose a contest of will. In the contest of will, the djinni has the advantage significantly. Only the most powerful spellcasters can hope to use a djinni to power their spells.
