Goblin

Attribute Ranges

  • Body: Pitiful to Below Average (1-4)
  • Mind: Pitiful to Above Average (1-6)
  • Spirit: Pitiful to Below Average (1-4)

Abilities

  • Low-Light Vision: Goblins have exceptional sight, even in low-light environments.
  • Sharp Teeth: Goblins have razor-sharp teeth that fill their mouths similar to a shark.

Biology

Appearance

Goblins are short fey-descended lesser humanoids.

  • Height: Goblins tend to be quite short when compared to humans. Goblins average between 2' 6" to 3' tall. A particularly tall goblin can be as tall as 3' 6" tall. A goblin's head seems disproportionately large for its body compared to other humanoid races.
  • Weight: goblin muscle is denser than humans, and they tend to weigh more than their height and build would indicate that they should weigh. They weigh about 10% more than they appear that they should weigh. (Multiply the weight they would be were they human by 1.1 to get the goblin's weight.)
  • Build: goblins have a thin, wiry build. Goblins range from thin to fat, and they are tend to be small proportionally. Goblins have slumping posture compared to other humanoid races.
  • Bust: Female and futanari goblins tend a large range of breast sizes. Futanari have larger breasts than females on average. Goblins can have breasts so small they can be said not to exist at all, and they can get as large as a G-cup (H-cup for futanari).
  • Penis: Male and futanari goblins tend to have a broad range of penis sizes. Futanari have larger penises than males on average. Goblin penises can be as small as 1" and can be up to 8" (9" for futanari). Goblin penises have a slightly flared glans with bumps along its edge, which adds a level of pleasure during mating.
  • Skin: Goblin skin is generally shades of yellow, green or gray.
  • Hair: Most goblins are bald. Goblin's tend to have black or dark brown hair when they aren't bald. The occasional sandy-blonde occurs, but it is quite rare.
  • Eyes: Goblins have solid colored eyes without a pupil or sclera. Goblin's can have red, violet, or black eyes.
  • Other details: Goblins have prominently pointed ears, much more pointed than an elf's, which often show signs of damage.

Genders

Goblins can be Male, Female, Futanari, or Neuter.

  • Goblins have all four gender types. Male, female and futanari are the most common, with neuters being exceedingly rare. Neuters are attributed to thin dwarven blood.

Reproduction

Goblins reproduce sexually.

  • Like the fairies they descended from, goblins can cross with any being that can reproduce sexually.
  • Unlike fairies, goblins are exceedingly fertile. Goblin females and futanari ovulate when they orgasm rather than on a schedule.
  • Purely goblin pregnancies last about 3 months.

Age

Goblins lost their unaging nature when they speciated from the fey races. Goblins age much faster than humans.

  • Goblin ages can be calculated by multiplying the age of their physical appearance were they human by .5. A goblin that is entering adolescence would be 5 to 6 years old.
  • Goblins rarely live to old age due to their lifestyle. Goblins that live long enough to die of old age usually die in their 30s or 40s. Rarely goblins can live as old ad 50 years.

Diet

Goblins are carnivorous scavengers.

  • While goblins prefer to eat meat, they can gain some sustenance from vegetation. They are not true omnivores however as their digestive tract is ill suited to vegetable matter.
  • Goblins have no qualms about eating the flesh of sentient species, including other goblins.

Spirituality

Worship

Goblins worshiped the goblin gods, but rose up against them when the rest of the world rose against their gods.

  • About 10% of the goblin population still worships the goblin gods in secret.

Afterlife

The goblin afterlives are Grum'Grum-Gor and Jub'Lum.

  • When goblins died before the god war, they were taken before the goddess Grum'Grum. It was their duty to try to sneak past, connive, cajole, or bribe their way past the goddess to the realm of Grum'Grum-Gor where they had all the food and drink they could ever wish, and bred constantly. In Grum'Grum-Gor no one ever needs to sleep, urinate, or deficate; no one ever gets ill, and wounds heal instantly. The problem is that Grum'Grum wanted as many souls as possible to be sent to Jub'Lum where they would work endlessly to mine the infinite depths for precious metals and gems. Just like in Grum'Grum-Gor, in Jub'Lum no one ever needs to sleep, urinate, or deficate; no one ever gets ill, and wounds heal instantly. Only the difference of activity makes Grum'Grum-Gor a heaven and Jub'Lum a hell.
  • With Grum'Grum gone, Grum'Grum-Gor no longer has infinite food and drink, but Jub'Lum still has devils forcing souls to work.

Magic and Technology

Magic

Goblins are not very skilled at magic.

  • Goblins have a difficult time with most learned magics.
  • All goblins have the potential to be sorcerers (one of the few benefits they maintain of their fey origins).
  • Goblins interested in magic usually learn shamanism.
    • Goblins sorcerers are more rare than shamans, but are more revered and respected.
    • Goblins don't really have the lifespan to excel at other learned magic forms, especially wizardry.

Technology

Goblins understand technology much easier than they do magic.

  • While considered primitive, goblins are accomplished opportunists. They are just as likely to have guns and bombs as they are to have axes and bows.
  • Goblin technology is stolen from other cultures. They are thieves not innovators.

Culture

Goblins are a chaotic, survivor race, that speciated from the fey races millennia ago. They are have both a high birth and mortality rate; with their culture's main focus being adaptation and survival. They are know for their indiscriminate breeding practices. This has lead to the development of many divergent races over the millennia, including: hobgoblins, gnolls, bugbears, and reputedly even trolls.

Taboos

Goblins are an opportunistic race focused on survival. They do not feel they have the luxury of having taboos.

Residence

Goblins are tribal opportunists.

  • They live in small to medium sized family groups and establish communities wherever they can.
  • One will usually find them in caves or abandoned structures. They rarely build anything themselves.
  • They rarely stay longer than a year or two in any one place for fear of being discovered. They are ready to move camp at a moment's notice.

Other Considerations

  • Goblins are a favorite form of canon-fodder and entertainment for many of the "savage" races like orcs and gnolls.
  • The rapidity that goblins can breed large numbers makes hordes a constant threat. Fortunately they aren't very capable at war.
  • Goblins often play up their weakness when threatened to try to gain the pity of their foe.
  • Goblins are quick to offer sexual favors to avoid death or injury.
