God’s Compensation/6D explanation/You want to try getting yourself back into the time-stream in your own body

Well, while the whole time-travel bit is interesting, you originally set out to work on your 4D travel and you would really rather figure that out before you jump onto another track like this. “I want to just get back into my own body,” you tell Mr. Austin.

“All right then,” he responds, “Just step into your in-stream body so that at least half of your forms overlap and then try to do the exact opposite of what you did before. Also, don’t worry too much about accidentally time-traveling while you are at it. If you go forward in time, it is no big deal because your in-stream body will just disappear. The worst that can happen is you go backwards, witch shouldn’t really be all that bad.”

Right. Well, that is a little bit off your mind, but it is still rather annoying to hear him talk about the ways you might mess up. Actually, you really aren’t 100% sure you ARE going to get this right. You thought you were doing the exact same thing he had you doing before when he was pulling you through the 4th dimension, but obviously you screwed it up somewhere.

4D travel and 6D travel, they both seem like just walking to Mr. Austin. You suppose it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise they should feel very similar to one another to you as well. So, the difference between the two should be the direction you are walking. That being the case, all you have to do is do your mental sort-of walk in the exact opposite direction you did before, just like Mr. Austin said. Ok, you think you can do this. Getting yourself mentally prepared, you walk your way back into your body and focus your mind on doing exactly the thing you did before except in the opposite direction. You suddenly feel as though cool and crisp air is rushing into your lungs and you are forced to gasp as you look quickly around the area. You can suddenly hear the sounds of the city again. The sound of cars moving on the nearby roads immediately fills your ears, and then you look about and hear birds chirping and the wind blowing.

“Good job,” you hear Mr. Austin say, confirming that you have indeed done exactly as you intended and got back to the exact moment you left from. You notice he appeared from the exact place he was talking to you before from, rather than where his “in-stream” copy was located. It seems he elected not to occupy his previous body, choosing instead to let his in-stream body to simply vanish as he re-entered the time-stream from another location. “So then, what now?” He asks you. That is actually a good question.
