"Chris, I will never force you or your family into anything," you say. "You know that I wouldn't right?"
"Yes," says Chris, "I suppose. It's a lot to take in."
Lynn has done a lot of your work for you, all that remains is to push just a little bit further. Chris is so family oriented, the direction of the push is obvious to you.
"I have always felt like part of your family Chris. I just want to make it official. You are the head of this family though; if you don't want me to share your family, I will abide by that decision."
"Now you're being passive-aggressive and manipulative, Xander;" says Chris through a smirk, "which is beneath you." Oh yeah . . . psychiatrist.
"Chris!" says Lynn, "that is no way to talk to our Lord and Savior!"
"No Lynn," you reply, "he's right. I'm trying to manipulate him. But he also knows that we all try to manipulate one another all the time. What will it be . . . can I marry your wife?"
"No one will preform the ceremony," replies Chris feebly.
"And from whom do they receive their authority to marry people?"
"God . . . and you are our God. I get it. Lynn, what do you think?"
"I want another child; and I wan't to serve our Lord. Xander can heal me so that I can have more children; that in itself is worth becoming his wife."
"Oh Lynn," you say softly, "I will heal you regardless." With a wave or you hand you heal her overused uterus. While you're at it you max out her fertility and love stat. She fairly beams at you.
Your softness toward his wife seems to crumble the last of Chris's defenses. "Okay, you have my blessing Xander. You may marry my wife, and any of my children that wish it."
"Lynn," you say taking a knee, "will you marry me?" You produce a ruby ring from thin air and present it to her.
She looks at the ring with her birthstone in it with tears of joy welling in her eyes. "Yes Xander, I will happily be your wife and bear your children." You slip the ring on her finger with her engagement ring and wedding band from Chris; then stand and take her in your arms. You kiss her deeply for the whole Holiday clan to see. Cris looks a little embarrassed . . . and maybe a bit turned on? Is Chris a bit of a cuck maybe?
Now to get the wedding out of the way . . . but what kind of wedding?
