Life Hacks/Tell her he was trying to make her stop playing baseball
“That’s Billy’s dad,” you tell her, “he was saying the same sort of things Billy was and trying to abuse the fact he was a police officer to say that you weren’t allowed to play baseball with the boys.”
“What!?” She says, “that’s not fair!”
“Fucking girls shouldn’t be playing baseball!” He says. “God damn it!” He curses to the ground. “This is all your fault you little cunt!” You can see the adults around actually recoil in horror at the language coming out of his mouth now. Roni also looks a little distressed. Most of all though, you note a rather torn expression on Billy. It doesn’t seem like he knows what to make of this situation at all.
“Look,” you say, turning back to Roni, “how about you go down to your friends and hang out with them for a while. I’m going to call the police to take care of this.”
“But isn’t he a police officer?” She asks.
“Yes,” you say, “but the other police officers are not going to like him doing things like this.”
“Keep telling yourself that you cunt!” he growls at you again. “Shit! Damn it!” he curses to the ground again. You can see the seething anger that he wants to say something even worse, but it seems he has at least some filter and awareness of public perception. Disturbingly enough though from what you are reading from him, he is actually directing a lot of hostile intentions toward Roni. Shit! He really might try to hurt her at some point in the future.
“Don’t worry about that,” you say to her, “let me handle this, just go down to your friends.”
“Ok,” she says and takes some hesitant steps down to her friends, casting fleeting glances back up at you as she goes.
All right then, now for the ass hole. You yank his police radio off of his jacket and place a call to dispatch, throwing in as much of the proper jargon as you can to get a smoother and faster response. They say that there are already officers in the area and they should be able to get here within just 5 minutes. Well then...
