Making the Team/Go alone, more girls, Yi Jing
You have a vague idea about who Yi Jing is. She's pretty smart, but her grades would improve severely if she just knew english a bit better. She's an exchange student, or maybe an immigrant - it doesn't really matter. She almost exclusively hangs out with the other chinese kids, and would never have met a white stud like Jesse if the teacher hadn't put them in the same lab group. He whips out his phone, and the rest of the room shuts up as he butters her up.
"Hey, Yee!" He smirks with an exaggerated american accent. "It's me. Guess what - I finally looked through the textbook like you asked. And I found something super interesting. I know the project isn't due for another week, but I have to show this to you right away. If we apply this to our research, we'll get an A for sure - but we're gonna' have to get on the same level fast to really make it work. Can you come over?"
The others hold their breath in suspense, and his smile grows wider as he loudly reaffirms. "In five minutes? That would be excellent. See you then!" After he's hung up, someone jokingly exclaims: "Ooh, me so horny!" And they all share a cruel laugh.
John watches the window to the front entrance, and soon enough he calls out that she's there. But he quickly adds: "What the fuck? Does she have a boyfriend?". Someone runs up to confirm that there indeed seems to be another guy with her, but Jesse doesn't seem to mind a bit. He gets out of the couch and puts his pants on casually - but leaves his shirt on the floor as he goes to answer the door. The newcomers don't enter right away, so you have to walk away from your own window and peep around the corner of the house to see what's going on.
There's no mistaking just how asian Yi is. She's a short, lithe beauty with straight and glossy black hair pulled back in a diadem headband. Her face is slim, with angular features and dark, narrow eyes. A cute, pointy little nose crowns the foreign-looking face - and her skin, while pale, has an obvious yellow tint to it. She almost looks like a caricature, and it doesn't help that when she smiles at Jesse - you see she's got a bit of an overbite. But she's unassuming and adorable with her blue, spaghetti-strapped dress and dainty little slippers - and she nods excitedly at Jesse when he opens to greet them; a few other guys visible in the doorway behind him.
True enough, she's got a boyfriend. About as tall as she is, and looking punier than ever next to the six foot tall quarterback. Jesse, of course, notes their physical differences and decides to be an ass about it. "Hey there, Yi! I didn't know you had a sister."
The boyfriend is unamused to say the least. But Yi laughs politely, probably without even understanding the implications. "No, no! He my boyfriend, Wang. Not sister!"
The guys behind Jesse laugh at the name, and he just shakes his head with a grin. "Hey, lighten up man. Don't be such a wang about it! Now, listen. I'm gonna' be borrowing this little lady from you for a bit." With an swift sweep, he then hoists Yi up in his arms; almost enough for her to sit on his shoulder. She lets out a squee, and then just laughs surprisedly as he carries her inside - probably too caught up in the idea that he's just joking with them. Wang tries to protest, but the other guys push to keep him from coming into the house.
"Don't worry, chink. We'll hand her back after we're done." they reassure before slamming the door in his face. Poor Wang just stands there for a while, completely dumbfounded. But then he shrugs his shoulders with an angry sigh and heads off. It's not a fight he's willing to take alone. How do you decide to proceed?
