The small village of Grangewood wasn't the kind of place anything bad ever happened. At most, the biggest scandal would be something like an affair between a discontent husband and teacher's aide. Because of this, the village came to a relative standstill upon when little Lucy went missing. She was an adorable girl of 6 years old - Blonde, blue eyes, slim, bright, and bubbly. Naturally, her parents were totally inconsolable. The light of their life had disappeared, and no one knew where she'd gone. It had been about 2 weeks now since she'd disappeared, and many were starting to suspect the worst. Also devastated was her best friend, Amy. The two had been inseparable, and one might often think they were sisters! A day rarely went by without the two having a playdate together, close enough now to the point where they would store their own clothing at the other's house. While the town was still reeling from the disappearance of Lucy, it was finally decided that it was time for little Amy to return to school. She'd taken the two weeks off, a newly damaged little mind in the new discovery of what it meant to lose someone close to you. Of course, it was all made more difficult by the total uncertainty. No one knew where Lucy had actually gone. Who'd have thought that on the first day back she would encounter such a horrific fate...

It had been a fairly difficult day for Amy. Despite not feeling quite ready for school, her mother had insisted on getting her into her adorable school unifrom, brushing her shoulder length brown hair, and taking her to the schoolgates personally. Even at such a young age, Amy could identify that she was being treated in a drastically different way. Lucy was her best friend, and everybody knew it. The teachers and students alike treated her with a sympathy that made the poor girl feel sick. She couldn't wait for the school day to end. Eventually, the final bell rang and school kids piled out into the playground. Amy spotted her mother's car and quickly headed over, eager to get home and try to forget about her missing friend. With her face down, she opened the back door, slung her bag inside, and climbed in. It was only when she closed the door that she realised something was horribly wrong.

Click.

Amy's face drained of all colour as she looked into the front of the car. Two large men sat in the front of the vehicle. She could just about make out that they both had hair shaved close to their scalps, but any other features were obscured by terrifying masks. The passenger wore a plastic mask of a cartoonish rabbit's face. One ear flopped over, with the rabbit's mouth frozen in a rictus grin. Through two small eye holes she could make out beady black eyes. Meanwhile, the driver wore an equally unnerving cow mask, the expression blank and lifeless, but with uncomfortably bulging eyes.

Her lip quivered, the poor girl unable to speak as she stared at the two men. By the time she had broken free from her shock and started to scream, they were already a good distance away from the school.
