The bus arrives mere minutes after the kids do. It is crowded but not overcrowded. Noticeably, Sara and Karl immediately split up as they board the bus, with Sara grabbing a inward-facing seat as close to the driver and the front of the bus as she can get and Karl offering one last insult before disappearing into the back of the bus to join a pair of friends.

The muted emotions of the crowded bus are far from deafening, but they do create a murmur that is far noisier that the relative quiet of the house. Most of the people are bored, a few are stressed and one or two give off a blurry emotional susurration indicating the use of mild mind-altering substances.

One dissident note does rise up above the babble, though. A low, warbling note of rising lust is hidden in the noise.

The gray-suited man is almost aggressively nondescript, brown eyes, brown hair shot through with grey hairs, thin lips and an expression on his face of distracted boredom.

He is lean, rather than thin, in away that might be deceptive. One might mistake his ram-rod posture as neurotic or fussy, but that would be missing the easy strength that he expresses in the terrifyingly precise control he exerts in every one of his few movements. This is a man of rare, considered, but deliberate and decisive action.

When you pick it out, it is coming from a man about half-way back the bus. He is a thin-lipped man in his 50’s, wearing a smart grey suit. He seems both respectable and politely disinterested in his fellow passengers, but a closer look reveals that he is carefully stealing glances at Sara.

Neither Sara nor any of the other passengers has noticed his interest, and he seems skilled at concealing his gaze, but his arousal throbs quietly, muted and controlled, yet pulsing with each stolen glimpse of the oblivious preteen.

You could try to provoke the man.
