FYI: I'm trying to really practice what I preach with this scene. Actually, this entire section of the story. I'm using what I wrote about in the "How to write child characters convincingly" page on the main site's writing discussion section to write both the MC and Kayla as authentically to a real 3 and 9-year-old in this situation as possible (given their backgrounds.) The MC does not have good persuasive skills at all. All he knows is what he wants Kayla to do, but he has zero for empathy in terms of figuring out why she is having trouble with his demands. Kayla meanwhile has no previous experience to explain why the MC wants her to take her pants and underwear off, but knows it is something he does normally when she gets wet. Also, she knows he and Lilly always yell at her for getting in their bed, so she doesn't want to get in it. Really, if you want a perfect formula for a rape situation, a 9-year-old wanting to have sex with a 3-year-old is just about a perfect recipe. Jemini (talk) 16:19, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
