Regarding the genetic "issues" of the Guerra family females:

Remember that the mother, Ana, is a descendant of several European royal lines, so genetic defects caused by incest are very possible.

  • Lack of Pubic Hair & No Menstruation: Low amounts of Dihydrotestosterone
    • Gemma & Maria's complete lack of body hair (they only have hair on their scalps): thyroid and pituitary gland issues
    • Precocious Puberty: could be hormonal
  • Rabbit-like reproductive system: Nerve Growth Factor, also found in semen, can induce ovulation. A hormonal imbalance could be the cause.
    • Hyper ovulation: both ovaries release an egg simultaneously, with a higher chance of fraternal twins. (Yet another hormonal imbalance)

Conclusion: Most of their issues seem to be caused by an issue with both the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland.

This case study, along with her fertility research, are surely worthy of an award (Nobel, AMA Scientific achievement, or the Albert Lasker award)
