Abortions are as old as time. There is evidence of using toxins to abort fetuses that date back to pre-history. That said elves won't even eat seeds based on the fact that they have the potential for life. Culturally, to elves abortions would be equivalent to the intentional murder of an infant. It is totally unacceptable in elven culture. If an elf were raised outside of elven society that could change, but not if the elf was raised by elves.
