Not sure if possible, but I could see Santa sharing his memory of "his" first encounter with krampus and then asking James if he thinks Krampus was in the right for treating children that way. If James thinks Krampus was wrong, ask him how he would punish Krampus... Yada yada, James becomes Krampus, and the soul of the old Krampus is now in James's old body.

"Krampus" has a choice, allow the new Krampus to torture him, or use the single bullet on himself.
