You proceed into the living room to greet your father in-law and your beautiful daughter. As you step into the room you are met by the sight of the two talking about the practice she just came from.

"So what exactly did I do wrong Grandpa?" your daughter asks attentively.

"You have to be more flexible on the field and be willing to change positions when you have to" your Father In-law replies.

"But I know all about changing positions Grandpa" Your daughter says while smiling, this comment nearly causes you to have a stroke.

Before you have an cardiac event they both take notice of you and before you can even say or do anything your daughter is on the move.

"Dadddddddyyyyy!!!!!" She shouts as your ear drums attempt to cope.

She jumps into your arms and you give her your usual greeting. "Hey Pumpkin, did you miss me?"

"Of course Daddy, grandpas no fun" She replies.

"No fun at all?" you say while raising an eyebrow.

She smiles back at you and relents. "Well....maybe a little"

You shake your fathers hand. "Hey Pete" his handshake is as strong as ever. "She give you any trouble?"

"Just the usual, too dang smart for her own age" he replies. "How was the trip?

"Not too bad, got a couple of souvenirs" after this comment your daughter perks up immediately. "Souvenirs?" she asks excitedly.

You father in-law grabs his jacket indicating he is getting ready to leave. While you enjoyed each others company greatly when your wife was still alive you feel as if you have drifted apart since her death and are often longing for ways to connect. Recently you have tried to involve him in more of you and your daughters day to day lives. This seems to have provided a chance to reconnect with each other. Sometimes in your weird little mind you think about letting him in on you and Annabelle's secret, thinking this could change things for the better in the extreme. Something tells you in the way he acts, talks and even looks at Annabelle that he might react in a way you think would be good. However, on the other hand your mind often races through the alternative possibilities which could spell the end for pretty much your entire life.

What do you do?
