There is a knock on my bedroom door. It's my parents, telling me to come greet the new neighbors with them. They're both very social people, and so I wasn't surprised. I agree, and we all walk over together. The husband is working on unloading the moving van as we approach. His wife is trying to help, but she clearly isn't very strong. She's a very petite woman, pushing 30. Since it's such a hot day, she is wearing a halter top. I raised my eyebrows when I saw her stomach. You'd never be able to guess that she'd had three kids.

As we approach the couple, they turned to greet us. "Hello! Welcome to the neighborhood!" says my mom.

The woman smiles and shakes my mom's outstretched hand. "Nice to meet you! My name is Laura, and this is my husband, Mike."

Mike sets down the cabinet he was lifting and saunters over to meet us. "Hey! So you're our neighbors. Nice to meet you all!" He shakes my mom's hand, then my dad's. Mike then turns and yells "Hey girls! Come meet the new neighbors!" The three girls race on over, grinning from ear to ear. Mike introduces them one at a time.

The oldest girl wears some very short shorts and a blue tank top. She had bunched up and tied up the tank top behind her back with a scrunchy, bearing her midriff. She looks to be a more athletic build, with very slender legs. She has green eyes and black hair, which she'd tied up in a ponytail. Her face and arms are dusted with freckles. From the look of her, she's a natural tomboy.

"Our oldest daughter is Riley, and she's 10 years old." Riley bounces on over and shakes my parents' hands. "Pleased to meet you!" she says.

The middle daughter wears a cute pink polka dot skirt and a frilly t-shirt. She has bright blue eyes and dirty blonde hair that reaches down below her shoulders. From her clothes and the lack of any dirt on her, I guessed that she was more of a girly kind of girl.

"This is Tera, our middle child." says Laura. "She's 7. Say hello, dear!" Tera skips over to us. When she skips, her skirt flips up enough for me to glimpse her panties, which are a light green color with white stripes. "Nice to meet you!" she says.

Laura pats Tera on the back, then says "Our youngest daughter is Evy, and she's only 5 years old. Evy, c'mon honey come say hello!"

The youngest daughter looks very shy. She wears her straight brown hair cropped an inch or two below her ears, with a long fringe of bangs that flops down over her eyes. When she brushed her hair back, I can see that her eyes are a steely gray color. She wears a cute little pink sundress that looked like it may have been a hand-me-down, as it's more than a little too small. She nervously fiddles with the lip of the dress, and I caught a glimpse of her panties more than a few times. They're pink with purple polka dots on them.

Evy fidgets, but didn't move. She scuffs her shoe on the ground, clasping her hands behind her back and looks down at the ground. Laura turns back to face her youngest daughter and shouts "Evy! You need to learn how to meet new people! Come here, young lady!"

"Sorry, she's very shy. Once she gets to know you, though, she's a very sweet girl."

Evy slowly walks over. "H-Hi..." she mumbles, her gaze down at her feet.

"Very good, Evy. See, was that so hard?" says Mike. "Okay girls, you can go play now. Just make sure to unload your things from the moving van before it gets dark!"

The three girls wander off to amuse themselves. Riley gets a ball out of the truck and races off into the yard, kicking it. Tera gets some chalk out and quickly draws a hopscotch court on the driveway. Evy opens up one of the boxes and takes out some dolls, walking into the house with them.

Suddenly realizing that he hasn't addressed me yet, Mike approaches me. "And who are you?"

"My name is Rei." I say.

"That's our youngest son." says my mom. "He works from home, and has a lot of free time. So if you ever need any help with things he's usually around."

"Mom..." I say, rolling my eyes. She's always trying to push me to socialize and get out of my room more. Meet people, it's good for you! Yadda yadda yadda...

The couple look at each other, then turn to me. Mike says "Actually... we could use some help in the afternoons. We both work late you see, and we haven't been able to line up a babysitter yet."

"I don't suppose you'd be interested in that, would you Rei?" says Laura with a hopeful look in her eyes.

My heart races at the prospect, but I'm also a little worried. Would I be able to control myself around three rambunctious little girls? I generally avoid children given my... interests.

My considerations are interrupted when my mother blurts out "Of course he would love to, wouldn't you Rei?"

I know that look in her eye. She thinks she's found a way to get me out of the house more. If I say no, she'll just hound me relentlessly until I submit.

With an inner sigh, I tell them "Um, sure I can do that if you need."

Laura grins at me, clearly elated at having found a babysitter so quickly. "Oh this is perfect! Thank you, so much Rei! You won't need to do very much, just keep an eye on them when they get home from school."

Mike says "You can hang out with them at your house or ours, it doesn't matter. Just keep an eye on them and make sure they don't get into any trouble."

"Oh, okay. That sounds fine. You can count on me!" I reply.

Mike slaps me lightly on the back, grinning. "Thanks so much, this is a huge help!".

Suddenly remembering something, Mike says "Oh, shoot! You didn't actually introduce yourself to the girls, did you?"

"Oh, that's right! Why don't you go do that?" says Laura. "The sooner they get used to you, the better. Let them know you're going to be their babysitter."

"Sure" I say. When I turn to go, Laura grabs my arm.

"Uh, just approach Evy slowly please. She is very shy..."

I tell her not to worry, and she lets go of my arm. I head off to chat with the three girls.
