Right after asking, Elizabeth heard the sound of his voice and ran over to the front door to greet him.
"Michael! Michael, you're here!"
He stepped inside to greet her back, and her parents stepped outside the doorway, preparing to leave.
"You'll find dinner in the refrigerator, and try not to have her watch too much TV before bed." her mother instructed.
Her father ended the introductions to the house rules with, "Alright, we'll be off. Take care!" And with that, they closed the door, leaving Michael alone with her.

Michael arrived at Elizabeth's house and rang the doorbell. Butterflies filled his stomach, and he tried to keep from shaking like a leaf. Elizabeth's parents opened the door in short time and invited him inside.

"Hi! Please come in. Sorry once again for calling you on short notice for something like this." her mother greeted, opening her hand out to show him the way in.

"No, no, it's fine. Where is she?" he responded, trying his best not to look nervous.
