The Bike Shop/Elizabeth Gets Her New Bike

Elizabeth smiled with joy as Michael unstrapped the bicycle for her.

"You can try it in here if you like." Michael suggested. "This space is open enough for you to be able to get a good feel for it."

With his permission, Elizabeth mounted the bicycle and slowly rode it around the shop for a little while. She stopped in front of her parents afterwards and dismounted, smiling, saying "I like it!"

Her mother and father smiled at her appreciation of the bike. They walked with Michael over to the front desk and wrote the cheque for him. Michael handed them his business card along with the bike as well.

"Here. If you have any problems with the bike, feel free to call me." Michael offered.

The parents thanked him, and off the family went. Michael and Elizabeth waved at each other as they left the shop.

After they left, though, it seemed as if everything went really quiet for Michael. Even regular interactions with other customers that came and went seemed dull and uninteresting. He couldn't stop thinking about Elizabeth. He wanted to see her again, and get to know her better. He wanted to know what she liked and disliked, what her favourite anything was.

He fell asleep that night with a funny feeling in his stomach and his heart pounding. He had great hopes of seeing her again.
