The Entertainer/Forest arrival
The wagon ride went pretty well! We discussed stuff, joked, sang. Anything to pass the time while going out to the hunting spot. After some time we reached out a forest which had a clearing to set the wagons.
"Here we are, this is where we'll head into. Behind us were two other wagons containing both supplies and space for the incoming loot. The sun was shining down on us with some clouds in the sky. You could hear the wind rustle up leaves, and cicadas chanting, birds chirping. Feels like home already.
"What should i shoot first?" The little prince ask as he hold his weapon, looking around. "Woah there, big guy! First we'll move deeper in the forest. I doubt we'll attract any sort of animals if we stick here!" The King chimed, then beckons at Jumpy while going to the other wagons. "Stay here with Alice, I'll get the backpacks and the other guards." Charle looks back at me. "What do you think we'll shoot first?" "Hm, probably a squirrel or two. There's one up in the tree!" I've pointed up at said place. The prince then ready his weapon, and shoot. He got the prey but...God damn my ears! I've held them together with my hands. "SON! NOT YET!" The King screamed, the Prince retrieved the fallen little thing. "I GOT ONE!" He holstered his weapon and ran back to his Dad with it.
"Nice catch, sports! But wait until we wear earmuffs to start shooting, you'll destroy your ears if you keep shooting that way!" "I don't mind." "Well I do! You can set your prize in the other wagon behind me." The little prince then executed his order, meanwhile I've turned to look inside the wagon. Jumpy and two others men are inside preparing themselves. "DAAAAAD!" "Oh, now what?" We look back toward the Prince. He was pointing at the wagon and running up to us. "RAFFAU SAID MY CATCH WAS LOUSY!" Oh great. "What? It's true. I could catch better than that!" The man said as he made his way to us, laughing. He was followed by two other guards, one that is almost as chubby as him.
"You already shot something, son. Just that makes me proud." The kid smiled up. "I'll make sure to get better stuff next time!" "Alright, I'll need three men to stay here and watch the wagons. The rest will come safeguard me, the prince and princess." "Excuse me? Princess? She ain't going anywhere! A little girl like her should be at the castle looking like a pretty thing, not in these clothes." Raffau said coming next to me. "She'll be a nuisance to the group, sticking out like a sore thumb. I'll personally watch over her where she can't cause any trouble."
