The Locket of Bellatrix Lestrange

Many years ago, when you were almost too young to remember, you aunt Bellatrix came to visit you. You were raised by your nanny, and always loved the infrequent visits from your favourite aunt, who felt like the mother you never had.

This time, when Bellatrix left, she gave you a present. It is an old silver locket, with a picture inside it.

The locket contains a picture of Druella Black, the mother of your aunt Bella

“That’s your great aunt, Druella Black, a pureblood witch she was,” you aunt Bellatrix explained, “it’s a magical amulet. She gave it to me, and now I’m giving it to you. If you ever need me, just take hold of the locket and think of me, and wherever I am, I’ll know you need me.”

At first, you thought your aunt was just teasing you, but then you tested the locket, and found that whether you used it, your aunt would either appear in the fireplace flames, or in person. Eventually, you learned not to use it too often.

“It’s just for emergencies, or if you want to talk,” She explained.

As a girl, you found it hard to accept that your aunt Bella didn’t want to live with you all the time, and spent so much of her life in Paris, or travelling through Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Why wouldn’t she live with you at Lestrange Manor?

And then one day, you came to possess the body of young Emily Lestrange, and you used the locket to summon Bellatrix, your most loyal follower…
