You decide you are done with the computer and get up.
You bring you luggage up onto your bed to begin sorting it and return items to their appropriate locations. While you usually pack light, this time you have brought quite a bit back from your trip. This includes a lot of souvenirs, including some small presents for your daughter and local antiquities which were sold off the beaten path. Looking around the suitcase, the most obvious of these is a small bronze statue which depicts the local version of a fertility/love goddess that is quite heavy and well polished. Next are a couple of the standard mugs and T-shirts which include references to the area you stayed in. Along with some locally made jewelry and novelty items represent the total sum of things that you acquired. You decide next time that you will bring more socks and underwear as you are not used to different climates.
While you finish unpacking you hear the front door open and two voices sounding their way through the living room. One of these is male and older and the other is young and feminine. You recognize this as your daughter and your father in-law.
