“Shhh… it’s Ok,” your mother says. “Jerry is going to do something called sex with you.”
You sort of thought maybe you ought to say something, but then you remembered your power actually somehow works if another person explains something so long as they drop your name somewhere in there. Your mom will probably be much better at explaining this anyway.
“Well,” she says, “sex is when a boy puts his penis inside of your vagina hole in your privates, you remember the place where Sarah had the blood before?”
“Yeah,” Trish responds.
“Well, Jerry is going to put his penis in there.”
“Why?” Trish asks.
Wait, what did she say about Sarah bleeding? “Why was Sarah bleeding?” You ask her.
Your mom does a bit of a double take at your interruption and pauses for a moment, seeming to be trying to consider who’s question to answer first. It seems she settles on yours though as she looks up to you and begins speaking in a somewhat louder voice. “It is what happens for girls when they get older,” your mother says. “Boys get semen, girls start bleeding out of their vaginas sometimes.”
What? How does that work? Getting older is weird. Boys start wetting the bed again, and girls start bleeding. Suddenly, you are a bit more glad you are a boy, you would not have liked for it to be blood that was in your underwear instead of this weird semen stuff. You suddenly recall when you put your finger in Katie’s vagina and it started bleeding, you wonder if that was the same. Katie is a lot younger than you or Sarah, so you are not really sure. You have a lot of questions, but you decide you should let your mother talk to Trish for now.
“Ok then,” your mother continues as she sets your 8 year old sister down on the floor and kneels down to eye level with her. “so, you wanted to know why?” She asks, “Well, when boys get older, they start to make something called semen in their scrotum. When a boy has sex with a girl, the semen comes out inside. If he doesn’t, he wets the bed.”
“Eeeew!” Trish responds, “Is Jerry going to pee in my gina?”
“It’s not pee,” your mom says, looking a bit uncomfortable as the explanation continues. “You’re just going to help your brother out like when I gave Sarah those things to help when she was bleeding.”
“Oh,” she responds.
“Well, I guess I will let you two figure things out then,” she says, standing and starting to leave the room.
