You decide it doesn't really bother you. You are feeling pretty tired anyway. You decide to go back to sleep. You lay your head back down on the hard play-ground bench. You still feel pretty cold, but you are too tired to feel like going back inside right now.

The bench is a little uncomfortable, but eventually you do seem to drift off. Or rather, you must have fallen asleep because the next thing you know is it feels like the whole world is collapsing from under you. You hear the sharp sound of the bench you are laying on crumpling as the metal back is folded down over you like a burrito. You just barely manage to get a glimpse of some horrible creature and its giant hand as you begin to hear the sound of your rib-cage snapping and a fantastic pain shoots through your chest.

You get the distinct impression you are being carried by this creature. There are screams all around, and you get small glimpses through the cracks in the bench of other large creatures that must be every bit as big as the one that is carrying you chasing after the other colonists. The air is filled with the screams of the people.

You are foggily aware of a warmth in your crotch as you pee yourself, but you find it hard to care as it is now becoming painful just to breathe. You are struggling for every breath as your body gets swung about inside your metal coffin as the creature caries you, and somehow you know that the coffin analogy is coming very close to actually becoming a reality. You can feel your consciousness slowly slipping, and at this point you consider it to be a luxury. You can't wait. You want to die. You want this to just be over....

Your thinking slows as the motion of getting swung around and the awkward loping movements of the creature carrying you and scuffling of the bushes that it forces its way through becomes dull and repetitive. You can't say exactly when, but at some point you feel yourself drifting back to sleep, a sleep that you know you will never wake up from.

The End.
