The process for contributing to the wiki is found on the Main Page under the heading Write Stories. It is clearly laid out step by step how to contribute to the site. Please read the Main Page to learn how to contribute. --Elerneron (talk) 15:26, 4 December 2021 (CET)
I know it may be counterintuitive, but the best way to respond to someone messaging your talk page is on their talk page. That way they get an alert that you left them a message. Otherwise they might miss it. --Elerneron (talk) 16:42, 5 December 2021 (CET)
I just noticed that you are trying to indent your paragraphs. The internet is set up for block formatting. We have to find work-arounds to use traditional formatting. I have created the Template:Tab specifically for this purpose. Just type {{tab}}
in front of every paragraph you want indented and it will look like standard formatting rather than block. --Elerneron (talk) 16:58, 5 December 2021 (CET)
I'm not very technical; but I don't think that confirming your email is actually necessary. Is there anything that you feel isn't working correctly due to not confirming your email. You are showing up as an autoconfirmed user; so it is likely the site owner has email confirmation turned off ore something. As I said I'm not very technical. Give the nature of the ATF sites; it wouldn't surprise me if email confirmation is not required. --Elerneron (talk) 16:50, 7 December 2021 (CET)
First, the CSS on your talk page is rather disconcerting. I understand wanting to play around with the stylesheets; but maybe your talk page isn't the best place to experiment? This is where we have to come to communicate with you. Getting visually assauted when we must talk to you probably isn't the best idea.
Secondly, the reason I originally came to your talk page. When you create a category page for your story, add the story type as a category for that category page. I have done so for you with your story Siblings. --Elerneron (talk) 14:03, 9 December 2021 (CET)
One thing you should be aware of using subpages for your talk page. You will NOT get a message when someone edits a subpage of your talk page. For this reason I am putting this message on your root talk page. With me it's not a problem, because I have to check things pretty much every day. If you aren't worried about not being alerted to new messages, you should be fine. --Elerneron (talk) 17:42, 14 December 2021 (CET)
Hope
Hope did edit your story without permission, and is therefore guilty of this infraction. I do not believe that they did this with the malice of forethought. Unfortunately, some users don't bother checking the permissions area before contributing. Generally speaking a gentle reminder should be sufficient. Everyone is human, and can make a mistake. (rule 3.3) Guilty by editing counter to the story's editing permissions.
The only reason Hope is on the Hope account and not the Santa account is that I lack the technical ability to help them retrieve it. The Hope isn't using two accounts, I just don't know how to get them back their original account, so it is vacant. (rule 9) Hope is not guilty, as they are only Hope, not Hope AND Santa.
Santa/Hope was not blocked for disciplinary reasons. There is a flaw in the blocking system that autoblocks entire ISPs. This can inadvertently block innocent users. I have struggled with this quite a lot. It's annoying because even after clearing the autoblock it sometimes pops back up. Santa/Hope was never banned themselves, and is therefore not circumventing a ban. (rule 13) Hope is not guilty, as Hope has never been intentionally banned.
I can reprimand Hope for their infraction of rule 3.3; but since that is a one warning infraction, I feel it would be rather harsh. I think it would be more fair if you let Hope know that your story is not to be edited without your permission instead so that they won't make that mistake in the future. You might even make a friend in the process. If you wish me to make a formal warning let me know; but I would prefer not to.
(Again I wish you would not use the CSS you are using on your talk page. I tried to use lists for the above, and they were unreadable due to the formatting. It's your page, so you can do what you like with it; but it is a headache to message you this way.) --Elerneron (talk) 16:43, 10 December 2021 (CET)
Talk Subpages
The only problem with creating subpages for talk pages would be if one were to delete the supporting page, the subpages would not be deleted, and would become orphaned pages. I was actually thinking of getting rid of the sub-pages that I have on my talk page for a while, instead making them their own section; I just haven't had the time.
