Distant children are children of normal or distant parents. They seem to be quite OK with being on their own and are used to the space afforded to them by their parents. They tend to live their own lives independent of their parents and rarely communicate what is going on in their lives much to their family. Rebellious children meanwhile are the result of this distant personality type not getting the independence or space that they want as a result of normal parents or helicopter parents. They will have all the same behaviors as a distant child, but on top of that they will be out to do things for the express purpose of it being something their parents would not like. This will usually be balanced with it being something that increases their ability to express their freedom, but sometimes it really is just out of spite for their parents.
