The question is, how are you going to manage this? You are still heading into the police station. You could always call and cancel that, tell Mary that something came up. With some adjustments, you could probably persuade your family to hide “him” out at your place, that would likely result in “him” sleeping right in your bed with you due to this being your thing. Another option would be to hide her out somewhere else until you are ready to pick her up. You don’t know anyone who would help with that though… wait… you DO know somebody, you are just not too sure what the hell his reaction would be to you bringing in someone other than you.
