You stretch your arms as sunlight streams in through the large window in your apartment. As you blink your eyes open, you decide that it's still much too early to consider getting out of bed and pull your thick covers over your head to shield your eyes from the blinding shine.

You are Sapphire, a 10-year-old Galaxian. Galaxians are a race of aliens originating from a star system near the Milky Way. They are physically almost identical to humans, with a few notable changes; their skin is slightly more grey in tone and their hair comes in a variety of shades that don't occur naturally in humans. The more important physical difference, though, is that Galaxians reach sexual maturity at a much younger age than humans, usually starting around age 3. Your genitals develop in the same way those of humans do in puberty, with the penis and testicles becoming larger and erections happening more frequently in males, and the clitoris and labia growing and becoming more pronounced in females, who also begin experiencing ovulation and menstruation. Other than that, your body continues growing like a normal human's. If a Galaxian female becomes pregnant before her breasts have grown in naturally, she will quickly undergo dramatic breast growth so the child can be fed. You've never been pregnant, though, so your chest is still pretty much flat.

As your eyes adjust to light again and you play with the idea of moving, you go over in your head what you have to do today.
