Galaxian children usually start schooling as soon as they are able to walk and talk. With your species' quicker maturation, you are also expected to move out on your own much earlier than humans, which is why you are here, a planet away from your parents at 10 years old. Many Galaxians of your age actually work day jobs already, but your grades in primary schooling were good enough that you could choose to continue your education and eventually pursue a career in science or technology. When Galaxian students enroll in an educational institution on Earth, they are placed in a class based on their level of studies, regardless of age. This results in students of an interesting range of ages all studying and socializing together. Most of the human students in your classes right now are 16 to 17 years old.

You pull your covers down and half-roll out of bed. Motivating yourself to even move is still a struggle, but you remember that you've been late to your first class twice already this month. The threat of detention should you be tardy a third time is enough to keep you moving through your morning routine and not plopping pack down in bed and napping for another few hours, which is what you want to do. You're still half-asleep as you straighten your shoulder-length brown hair. Your natural hair color is actually a bright lime green, but when you first came to Earth you loved the color human brunettes sported, which is not common in Galaxians and seemed very exotic to you, and died yours to match it.

Walking out of the bathroom back into the main room of your apartment, you drop your pyjama shorts to the floor and toss off your shirt as you prepare to get dressed in your clothes for the day, which consist of...
