Bethany is an energetic and active tom-boy who enjoys helping around the orphanage with tasks that involve heavier labor like repairing and painting things, or carrying around heavy bags of food. | |||
She wants to join the school's soccer team, but unfortunately Mahogany Hills does not have a girls' soccer team and will not accept her onto the boy's team. She has been told she should try for the cheer leading squad, but she doesn't want that. | |||
Bethany knows all the nooks and crannies and hidden places in the orphanage better than anyone, and has taught Micaela and Hannah a few good places for their "touching games" and has participated a few times as well, although she is not quite as enthusiastic about it as some of the other girls their age. | |||
