“Yeah, sure, that’s fine,” you answer the affectionate 12 year old. Why not? Really. She is already wanting to see you, and it seems she already has this worked out with March. If March is fine with it, you are fine with it.
“Really!? Allll right!” She cheers, actually climbing onto you for real and forcing you to hold her in response.
“Wow, careful there,” you say. Before today, she would have certainly knocked you down the stairs doing this. Fortunately, as you are now you have the strength to handle her and the coordination to handle your feet such that you can manage it easily without the slightest bit of concern for your own safety.
“Jan, not on the stairs, that’s dangerous” Summer chides her sister, blushing oddly as she looks up at the two of you.
“It’s all right, Xander’s pretty strong, huh?” She says, looking at you as she smiles adoringly with a deep pink blush to her cheeks, meanwhile re-positioning herself in your arms. “Can you hold me with this arm under my legs?” She asks with a bit of a disappointed look you haven’t already. As you do so, you are now cradling her in your arms like a groom might carry his bride across the threshold, causing her to respond by huddling down into your supporting arm and tucking her chin down into her chest as her blush deepens.
“It’s still dangerous.” Summer nags her sister. “Besides, aren’t you a little old to be having people carry you?” You can see a blush and a bit of envy appearing on Summer’s face as well.
“Not if he’s carrying me like this!” Jan argues back, smiling giddily for a moment and then smiling up at you with absolute adoration before cuddling back into your supporting arm.
“Wh… whatever!” Summer barks with a little bit too much snap. “G.. go have fun. She’s such a kid, huh?” She adds to you, grinning as though she is trying to hide something.
“But it’s not fair!” July continues to badger her sister. “I wanna play with Xander!”
“Yeah!” Octo joins in grumpily, the tears still in his voice.
“Xander just got here!” Summer argues with them. “You can play with him later.”
In the time she’s arguing with them, little Nove wanders around to the base of the stairs and wraps her arms around your leg. “Uhh… hey.” You say to her, getting a goofy smile in return.
“Nove, leave Xander alone,” Summer says.
“Eh-hehe,” She giggles and then releases your leg. “You’re holding her like you two are married.” She flatly states and then walks off.
“OH my GO… mmmph!” Summer responds, stopping herself from taking the lord’s name in vain as she turns a shade of pink that could easily be described as scarlet red almost. “Just ignore her! She’s just a kid huh?”
“Yeah, it doesn’t bother me,” you say, deciding to cart your friend’s affectionate 12 year old little sister up the stairs and away from this mess before any more trouble could happen. “I’ll see you in a bit, once we hang for a while.”
As you ascend the stairs, you see March looking at you with a little bit of a sympathetic and exhausted grin. “My family, eh?” He says.
“I think Summer’s jealous I get to be carried by Xander,” Jan whispers to both you and her brother once you are around the corner and approaching his room.
“Eh? Really?” He says, “You’re probably imagining it.”
Jan does not protest his dismissal, she merely giggles and looks up to you with hearts in her eyes as she continues to absolutely fawn over you. Fantastic. You saw the effects of the friendliness before, now you get to see the effects of the romantic love you artificially boosted in all these girls. And that’s not all. You think she might be wanting a kiss as well, but you wouldn’t know it if not for your increased body language reading skills. She is not taking the initiative on her own at all. Rather, she just seems to be staring dreamy eyed at you in a more relaxed and vulnerable position that would allow you to take an initiative on it if you wanted to.
