"Ok I think I'm going to need a little more than that, but I also think I have a way for Mary to be able to get along with the idea. So, Mary, here's what I'm going to do. We're going to put a blind fold on you and then put on some headphones, and you will listen to some music." Mary looks up in surprise at this.
"Yeah! Mary really likes music! I bet she'll like that." Diya says.
"Hmm... well, anyway, you will also have earplugs, and the music will be louder than usual so you can hear it as well. Basically, you will not be able to actually hear anything going on in the room. After that, I'm going to kiss you for a little while, then I'm going to stop and kiss you again. At some point, Diya is going to kiss you too. You won't be able to know who's kissing you, and you'll be able to get used to it.
