Disciplinary Action/Sonia/Class/Lap/Grooming/Avoid

Sonia was really scared of the way Mr. Loso did things when the two of them were alone together. She didn't want to marry him. She didn't know enough to realize anything significant about the ways he had been touching her, she just thought he was being nice, but since she knew he was talking about them getting married she was plenty aware that letting him be nice to her was exactly what would make him try to marry her.

She realized this is probably why she always felt so scared when he was just trying to be nice. Maybe God was telling her that he wanted to marry her, and if that's not what she wanted then she shouldn't let him be nice to her like that. Satisfied with that answer, she decided she was not going to go back to the classroom when there was nobody else there.

She was miserable at recess. She didn't have her book because she was too afraid after lunch to go back to the classroom in order to get it, and nobody on the playground would play with her. She asked the recess monitor if she could go to the library for recess, but she said no and that all the kids had to stay where the recess monitor could see them or else they would be punished now and it would be really bad if a boy was also in the library. She didn't really understand any of that, she just wound up sitting and bored.

Mr. Loso came out of the classroom at one point and came over to her. She really got scared now. "Sonia, why are you out here?" He asked. She was too afraid to give an answer, so she just ran away to the other side of the playground.

When she got back to class after Recess was over, Mr. Loso pulled her aside and yelled at her. "Miss Gurrera!" He growled at her. "What you did by running away from me like that and not answering my question was very disrespectful. You know, I can send you to the disciplinary office for that. I don't want to give you to that man, but if you don't want to be a good girl and stay with me then I swear I will." She found something absolutely terrifying in the way he said that even though she had no idea what he was talking about. But, she knew it couldn't be worse than having to marry this scary man.

She avoided him the next day as well. After she got back to class this time, all he did was stop her and said "Well Miss Gurrera, it looks like you made your decision. Just be glad I am in a good mood today. I'm pretty sure we will be getting to know each other together with Mr. Gardner pretty soon, along with your sister perhaps." He was talking about crazy things she couldn't understand again and he had a very creepy looking smile. But, he didn't really do anything with her for the rest of the day, so she thought everything was Ok now. She was wrong.
